Legacy Giving

You can protect our regional fisheries for your loved ones and for generations to come by making a legacy gift to Clark-Skamania Flyfishers. We encourage you to direct your legacy gift to the Legacy Fund, a revolving fund dedicated to conserving and promoting regional fisheries. Here are a few ways you can protect our fisheries forever with a legacy gift to CSF.

Gift in a Will or Living Trust

Arrange a bequest in your will or living trust to CSF to permanently protect the West's finest rivers and streams. You may allocate a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your estate.

Here is sample bequest language you can provide to your financial advisor:

I (We) bequeath (specific dollar amount / XX percentage of residual estate / specific non-cash asset) to Clark-Skamania Flyfishers, a 501(c)(3) organization based in Vancouver, WA, EIN# xx-xxxxxxxxxx.

Optional: This gift is restricted to CSF's Legacy Fund.

Retirement Plan Designation

Designate CSF as a beneficiary of your retirement plan to promote regional fisheries in perpetuity. This tax-wise gift is exempt from federal estate tax, maximizing the benefit of your gift and minimizing your taxes.

Charitable Remainder Trust

Designate CSF as the beneficiary of a charitable remainder trust, a tax-exempt trust that pays income to your designee. When the trust terminates, the remaining assets pass to CSF and are used to protect rivers forever.

Charitable Lead Trust

Create a charitable lead trust that pays income to CSF for a set period of time to conserve rivers forever. At the end of the term, the remainder returns to you or your heirs — a tax-smart way to pass assets to your heirs.
